Who controls your data

The controller of the personal data processed on this website is VERMEFOS NUTRIÇÃO AGROPECUÁRIA LTDA, registered under CNPJ No. 20.427.669/0001-71, a Brazilian animal nutrition company, with head office at Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, Brazil.

Under art. 5, VI, of the LGPD, the controller is the legal entity responsible for decisions regarding the processing of personal data. Any request related to this Policy may be sent through the channels listed in the contact section.

Information stored in your own browser

Language preference: when you choose Portuguese, Spanish or English, that choice is saved in your browser local storage (localStorage) so the site opens in the selected language on your next visit. It is a technical setting, it is never sent to our servers and it does not identify you.

Assistant chat history: conversations with the website assistant are saved only in the visitor browser (localStorage), so you can pick up where you left off. We keep no copy of that history on our servers and we have no access to it. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

Data you send us voluntarily

When you use the email form on this site or write to us via WhatsApp or telephone, you may provide your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We process only what you choose to share, and only as far as needed to reply.

Assistant queries: when the assistant runs with artificial intelligence support, the text of your question is transmitted to the technology provider that generates the answer. We recommend not entering sensitive personal data, third party data or confidential information in that field.

Technical access logs

Like any web server, ours keeps automatic access logs: IP address, browser and operating system type (user agent), date and time of the connection and pages requested.

These records exist for security, troubleshooting, fraud and abuse prevention, and to comply with art. 15 of the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Law nº 12.965/2014). They are not used to identify individual visitors or to build profiles.

Legal bases for processing (art. 7 of the LGPD)

Language preference, local chat history and operation of the virtual assistant: legitimate interest of the controller (art. 7, IX), limited to what is strictly necessary for the site to work and be usable, without prejudice to the rights and freedoms of the data subject.

Data sent through the form, WhatsApp or telephone: performance of preliminary procedures related to a contract, at the request of the data subject (art. 7, V), when the contact has a commercial purpose, and legitimate interest (art. 7, IX) for other information requests. Where a purpose requires specific consent, it will be requested in a clearly highlighted way (art. 7, I).

Technical access logs: compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation (art. 7, II), in particular art. 15 of the Internet Civil Framework, combined with the legitimate interest in information security (art. 7, IX).

What we use the data for

We use data only to answer questions about animal nutrition and the VERMEFÓS product line, route commercial enquiries to the right team, keep the site running in your chosen language, protect the security and stability of the platform and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not use personal data for behavioural advertising, profiling, automated decisions with legal effects or scoring of any kind. We do not sell, rent or otherwise transfer personal data to third parties.

Sharing with third parties and processors

We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Sharing is limited to processors acting on behalf of VERMEFÓS and under our instructions, only as far as needed to deliver the service.

These are: the website and email hosting provider, which stores incoming messages and technical access logs; and the artificial intelligence technology provider that generates the virtual assistant answers, when that feature is enabled. In that case only the text of the query you send is transmitted, never the history stored locally in your browser.

We may also share data with public, judicial or administrative authorities upon a lawful order, a regular request or where necessary for the regular exercise of our rights, always within the limits of the law.

International data transfers (arts. 33 to 36 of the LGPD)

The artificial intelligence provider supporting the virtual assistant may process queries on servers located outside Brazil. This constitutes an international transfer of personal data.

The transfer relies on the necessity to fulfil the purpose disclosed to the data subject and on contractual commitments requiring the supplier to maintain protection standards compatible with the LGPD. To avoid any transfer, simply do not use the virtual assistant and contact us by WhatsApp, telephone or the email form.

In all cases we repeat the recommendation not to enter sensitive personal data, third party data or confidential information in the chat field.

How long we keep information

Language preference and assistant history: these remain in your browser until you clear your browsing data or use the new conversation function. The retention period is entirely under your control.

Contact messages: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and afterwards for the period in which they remain useful for the commercial relationship or the defence of rights, observing the applicable statutes of limitation.

Technical access logs: kept for at least six months under art. 15 of the Internet Civil Framework, and deleted once no longer necessary, unless a legal or judicial order requires otherwise.

Information security

We apply technical and administrative measures proportionate to the risk: encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site, access control over the message inboxes, regular system updates and the principle of minimisation, meaning we collect only what is indispensable.

No system is completely failsafe. Should a security incident occur with relevant risk to data subjects, we will notify the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and the affected individuals under art. 48 of the LGPD.

Children and adolescents

This website is aimed at farmers, professionals and companies in the agricultural sector. It is not directed at children or adolescents, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

If a legal guardian finds that a minor has sent us personal data, simply let us know through the contact channels and the information will be deleted, in line with art. 14 of the LGPD.

Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be revised at any time to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date shown at the top.

Material changes, particularly those that expand data processing, will be flagged visibly on the website.
